American Airworks ISO/DOT Air Cascade Systems

We provide free technical assistance on Air Cascade Systems for fire departments, paintball, SCUBA and industry. A system may include two or more ISO/DOT cylinders, mounted in your facility, on a mobile air trailer or inside your fire truck.

Get approximately 38 refills of 2216 PSI 45 CF SCBA cylinders from a four cylinder 6000 PSI cascade system. This estimate of refills assumes the SCBA cylinder has 500 PSI remaining in it at the time of refilling.

ISO/DOT cylinders can be mounted vertically or horizontally and are used in a stationary or mobile application. Vertical mounting is recommended. We sell ISO-DOT cylinder mounting racks for stationary and mobile applications.

ISO/DOT cylinders must be ultrasonically retested every ten (10) years. No 10% overfill is available with these lightweight styled cylinders. 6000 PSI can be hydro-tested with the tester having a special permit. 4500 PSI are in the works to be able to do the same. Standard DOT cylinders are hydro-tested every five (5) years.

The placard is to be place in a conspicious place as a reminder that periodic retesting of ISO/DOT compressed air cylinders to insure the thin walled cylinders meet retesting standards for safety. This is usually five year for DOT cylinders and ten year for ISO cylinders. Placard Made with durable zinc plated aluminum, abrasive etching and color filled. 3.625" x 4.375" x .0625". The Placard and the plastic tags come with agressive adhesive backs. Tags are white on orange letters and are applied to the placard to provide the retest date. Two required, one for original mfg and one for retest dates.
