Easy and Automatic SCBA Flow Testing
|
| The Posi3 USB "Quick Test" fully evaluates the operational readiness of an SCBA in less than 2 minutes and consumes less than 1% of the SCBA's air supply. Full tests take longer and provides the testing results to be printed immediately or saved in a user-specified database for retrieval in the future. The Posi3 USB software makes record-keeping easy! Software database allows storing of cylinder hydro-static test dates, end of service dates, and in service dates.

Accurately Verify SCBA Operational Performance

Posi3 USB testing completely evaluates SCBA readiness for use. These following tests are provided using your unit:
- Quantitative testing of SCBA components without disassembly
- SCBA dynamic breathing produces realistic flow testing results
- Mask leak-check
- First breath on regulator activation pressure
- Exhalation check-valve opening pressure
- Static mask pressure
- Bypass flow rate
- Pressure gauge accuracy
- Low pressure alarm activation PSI accuracy
- High pressure leaks
- Visual inspection
- Breathing resistance at standard (40 LPM) work-rate
- Breathing resistance at maximum (100 LPM) work-rate.
NOTE: NFPA 1850:2026 Edition (Previously NFPA 1852) states that the Facepiece and First Stage pressure during the breathing resistance test should be at 103 L/min ± 3 L/min

- Complies with NIOSH and NFPA 1952 SCAM Standard

MSA SCBA Sound Detection System (SDS) Model
|
|
MSA SCBA OEM software requires sound detection (SDS) to functionally test their SCBA properly. SDS is not required by other SCBA brands. Posi3 USB part numbers for SDS testing compatibilty are listed below.
