These Haskel nitrogen boosters have been specifically designed for helicopters, and/or small aircraft, where a portable self-powered booster is needed for ground support. The primary application is to service high pressure on-board Nitrogen or Helium bottles on helicopters, which are equipped with emergency inflatable pop floats.
(Required by FAA under FAR regulation 135.183 if flying over water beyond the point where landing would be possible if engine failed.)

Both units are lightweight, 1-man-portable, weather resistant and operate in any position. Each unit comes with connecting hoses, and are ready for immediate service.

However, these Haskel boosters can be used to service other components needing high pressure Nitrogen such as shock struts and precharging hydraulic accumulators.

Wearing parts are low cost elastomers and self lubricating engineered plastics - all available in seal kits and are field replaceable with simple instructions and conventional hand tools.

Model AC90081 weighs 48 lbs. Charge two 425 cu. in. flight bottles to 3,000 PSI within 20 minutes from less than two standard DOT 2,200 PSI nitrogen cylinders (226 SCF each); or one 7.93 litre bottle to 4,500 PSI nitrogen from approximately 2-1/2 DOT cylinders; or helium to 2,200 PSI, 215 SCF cylinder using less than two nitrogen cylinders to power the pump.

Model AC90082 weighs 43 lbs. Charge two 425 cu. in. flight bottles to 3,000 PSI within 20 minutes from one standard DOT 2,200 PSI Nitrogen cylinder (226 SCF).

Airworks stock one each of these booster and units can ship same day with acceptable payment terms. Standard delivery on these units is about eight (8) weeks if ordered from most Haskel distributors or direct from Haskel the factory. Units can ship UPS or Fedex. Haskel aviation oxygen boosters and Haskel aviation nitrogen boosters are used in aviation ground service equipment. This Haskel oxygen booster is used to recharge small and large oxygen cylinders. Similar Haskel boosters are used to recharge various gas cylinders used within the aviation industry.

Haskel Oxygen Booster for Aviation
This Haskel aviation oxygen booster is a two stage booster capable of boosting 100 PSI oxygen up to 3500 PSI. Saves money by scavenging more gas for your oxygen cylinders, as well as other gases, before returning them to your gas supplier for refilling. The booster pictured is portable, if needed to be, and requires no annual maintenance. Average overhaul duty cycle is 2000 hours, when used properly. It has a twelve month factory warranty. It is powered by a low pressure shop compressor providing a minimum of 75-150 PSI and 15 CFM.

FDA statement on "Oxygen for Aircraft Use [Aviators Breathing Oxygen] means oxygen in fixed or portable oxygen containers or systems intended for commercial or private aircraft use, meeting the U.S.P. specifications and having the special moisture and/or other limiting characteristics required for aviators breathing oxygen (ABO). ABO may not be used for recreational inhalation or medical therapeutic treatment of man or animal."
We also offer similar units, without the roll cage, large gauges and air pilot valve for a cost of $7850 new.
The oxygen pump shown above comes equipped with high pressure relief valve, inlet and outlet 5 micron filters, remote set pilot valve to automatically start and stop the booster. For a complete "ready to go" system, add the following components.

American Airworks is an authorized Haskel distributor.
We provide parts and service for Haskel gas boosters.

Save approximately 20% on the cost of your rented gas cylinders.

If you're returning standard "K" cylinders (2265 PSI working pressure with 230 SCF of gas) when your supply cylinder pressure gets down to 600 PSI, you're returning about 20% of useable gas. Haskel's two stage Haskel booster can scavenge this 20%, reduce the headache of handling additional gas storage cylinders and lower your costs on purchased gas supplies. Depending on the amount of cylinders you rent, you could pay back the cost of the Haskel in as little as a year.

--- Typical Booster Operation ---

• Equalize the pressure between one your DOT air cylinders and your SCBA cylinder.

• If the desired pressure is not obtained, simply start cycling your booster to finish filling to the desired pressure. (50 cycles per minute or less when boosting oxygen)

• Stop the booster when the desired fill pressure is obtained.
