of these pump below.

Haskel nitrogen boosters have been specifically designed for helicopters, and/or small aircraft, where a portable self-powered booster is needed for ground support. The primary application is to service high pressure on-board Nitrogen or Helium cylinders on helicopters equipped with emergency inflatable pop floats.
(Required by FAA under FAR regulation 135.183 if flying over water beyond the point where landing would be possible if engine failed.)

Both units are lightweight, 1-man-portable, weather resistant and operate in any position. Each unit comes with connecting hoses and are ready for immediate service.

These Haskel boosters can be used to service other components needing high pressure nitrogen such as shock struts and pre-charging hydraulic accumulators.

Model AC90081 (55390 - OEM) two stages boost to 5,500 PSI (379 BAR) Powered from supplied gas cylinders to take flight cylinders to 5,500 PSI from less than two standard DOT 2,200 PSI nitrogen cylinders (226 SCF each); or one 8.0 litre cylinder to 4,500 PSI nitrogen from approximately 2-1/2 DOT storage cylinders; or helium to 2,200 PSI, 215 SCF cylinder using less than two nitrogen cylinders to power the pump. Unit has adjustable auto stop pilot valve. Unit weighs 48 lbs.

Model AC90082 (17934-1) single stage boost to 2,800-3,000 PSI (193-206 BAR) flight cylinders from one standard DOT 2,200 PSI nitrogen filled cylinder (226 SCF). Use for helium and nitrogen servicing applications. Unit has adjustable auto stop pilot valve. Unit weighs 43 lbs.

Model AC90081-MB - An enhanced AC90081 (55390) with Sherwood line valves and AE relief valve, which are easy to use and inexpensive to repair, an additional carry handle has been added and the pump comes with standard hoses.

AC90081-MB $10,375 - Factory Equivalent with Value Added Features

Model AC90081-M - Enhanced AC90081 (55390) by adding 200 Ft of "Ship's Air" and "Ship's Nitrogen" connecting hoses plus new style valves.
We've added 200 Ft of low pressure <300 PSI hose to quick connect to ship's air to power the booster on aircraft carriers and from other non-portable LP air sources. We've added 200 Ft of high pressure 6000 PSI hose to use ship's bulk nitrogen gas storage, rather than use a portable nitrogen gas cylinder cart. We've added quick connectors to the hoses and booster to make the process faster and easier. Standard length hoses are included too.

AC90081-M $11,975 - Factory Equivalent with On Board Ship Use Enhancements

Airworks stocks one each of these booster units for fast same day shipping with acceptable payment terms. Standard delivery on these units is about eight (8) weeks from Haskel. Units can ship UPS or Fedex. Haskel aviation oxygen boosters and Haskel aviation nitrogen boosters are used in aviation ground service equipment. This Haskel oxygen booster is used to recharge small and large oxygen cylinders. Similar Haskel boosters are used to recharge various gas cylinders used within the aviation industry as well as other gas applications.

Haskel 26968 Oxygen Gas Booster System

This Haskel aviation oxygen booster is a two stage booster capable of boosting 100 PSI oxygen up to 3500 PSI. Saves you money by scavenging more gas from your oxygen supply cylinders before returning them to your gas supplier for refilling. The booster pictured is portable and requires little or no annual maintenance. Average overhaul duty cycle is 2000 hours, when cycled at 50 RPMs during use. It has a twelve month factory warranty. It is powered by a low pressure shop compressor providing a minimum of 75-150 PSI and 15 CFM or more. This Haskel oxgyen pump, model 26968, is the favorite of all the U.S. military & commercial airlines for boosting O2.

FDA statement on "Oxygen for Aircraft Use [Aviators Breathing Oxygen] means oxygen in fixed or portable oxygen containers or systems intended for commercial or private aircraft use, meeting the U.S.P. specifications and having the special moisture and/or other limiting characteristics required for aviators breathing oxygen (ABO). ABO may not be used for recreational inhalation or medical therapeutic treatment of man or animal."
We also offer similar units, w/o roll cage, with smaller gauges, for a cost of $10,975 new.
The oxygen pump shown above comes equipped with high pressure relief valve, inlet and outlet 5 micron filters, remote set pilot valve to automatically start and stop the booster. For a complete "ready to go" system, add the following components.

New!! Hi-Flyers can now refill their own oxygen cylinders economically, with their own AviOxyCart for personal use and use by corporate aircraft. Local FBOs can provide oxygen refills too. Transfill from rented oxygengas cylinders to your plane's onboard oxygen cylinder or to your portable O2 cylinders. When the supply pressure drops below your cylinder's maximum working pressure, just start the Haskel gas booster to increase the pressure to the desired fill pressure. Haskel pump is powered by either stored nitrogen gas, regulated down to <150 PSI, or from your own electric shop compressor.

Our AviOxyCart even provides you a low pressure nitrogen source for pumping up struts or aircraft tires with nitrogen gas. Unit can be towed or pushed around the airport or within your hanger. Steering handle is removable for easier storage. An aluminum treadplate equipment box rides under the cart to keep the oxygen refill hose assembly clean and ready for use. Tires are foam filled to prevent flats and have a manual wheel lock. Cylinders are not included but are optional, rather than pay a monthly or annual cylinder lease.

American Airworks is an authorized service center for Haskel gas
boosters,
providing service and parts for Haskel gas boosters.

Save approximately 20% on the cost of your rented gas cylinders.

If you're returning standard "K" cylinders (2265 PSI working pressure with 230 SCF of gas) when your supply cylinder pressure gets down to 600 PSI, you're returning about 20% of useable gas. Haskel's two stage Haskel booster can scavenge this 20%, reduce the headache of handling additional gas storage cylinders and lower your costs on purchased gas supplies. Depending on the amount of cylinders you rent, you could pay back the cost of the Haskel in as little as a year.

--- Typical Booster Operation ---

  • Equalize the pressure between your DOT air cylinder(s) and your SCBA or other gas cylinder.

  • If the desired pressure is not obtained, simply start cycling your booster to finish filling to the desired pressure. (60 cycles per minute for inert gases... 50 cycles per minute or less when boosting oxygen)

  • Stop the booster when the desired fill pressure is obtained.
